How a course is organised
A course is a sequence of gates. Each gate covers a coherent chunk of learning and contains one or more lessons. You clear a gate by demonstrating mastery of it in assessments — not by opening every page in it.
Reading everything in a gate does not clear it. Mastery comes from questions you answer, because that is the only evidence the platform has of what you actually know.
Why something is locked
Gates have prerequisites. A locked gate is waiting on an earlier one you have not cleared yet. The fastest route to unlocking it is the assessment or remediation attached to that earlier gate, not asking for it to be opened.
What is in a lesson
Whatever your teacher has published: notes, a mind map, an infographic, a podcast, flashcards, a slide deck and sometimes an interactive simulation. If a lesson looks empty, the material exists but has not been published yet — that is a question for your teacher.
