Remediation

Targeted practice assigned automatically when a gate comes out weak — aimed at the cause, not the symptom.

Why you got one

When an assessment leaves a gate below the threshold — 60% by default — LEAP assigns remediation. It is not a punishment and it is not a re-sit: it is a shorter, targeted set aimed at the specific thing that went wrong.

How the questions are chosen

LEAP walks backwards through the gate’s prerequisites and assembles material from the gates that lead into it. Failing to apply a concept is usually caused by a shaky grasp of what came before, so re-reading the gate you just failed is rarely the fix.

On a second attempt the set narrows: topics you have since cleared are dropped, so you only work on what is still weak.

What happens when you pass

Passing rolls straight into your mastery for the affected gates — no separate step, no waiting for your teacher. If that lifts you past a prerequisite, the gates behind it unlock.

Do it first

Remediation is the highest-value item on your dashboard. It is short, it targets a known gap, and clearing it usually unlocks something.
