Students & enrollment
Who is in your course, how they got there, and what unlocks for them.
How students get enrolled
By section linkThe usual route. An admin links a section to your course and its members are enrolled automatically, staying in step as the section changes.
IndividuallyYou add a student to your own course directly from its Students page.
BulkAn admin uploads a CSV. Validation runs before anything is written and reports per-row outcomes.

What a student can see
A student sees the gates they have unlocked and the materials you have published. Unlocking follows the prerequisite graph: clearing a gate opens the gates that depend on it.
A student reporting that a course is “empty” is usually looking at an active course whose materials are all still in draft. Publishing is a separate step from generating.
Removing a student
Withdrawal preserves earlier work rather than deleting it, so the record stays complete for audit. A student who leaves and returns picks up their history rather than starting from zero.
