Voice Feedback batches
Automated phone calls that collect spoken feedback from a section and return transcripts you can read beside the mastery record.
What it does
You record or write one prompt. LEAP calls each student in the section, asks it, records the reply, transcribes it, and returns the responses as a single queue. It reaches students who never answer a survey and surfaces problems that do not show up in marks.
Batches
- 1Create a batch
Choose the section, write the prompt, set the calling window.
- 2Review the roster
Students without a usable phone number are shown before you start, not after.
- 3Run it
Calls are placed across the window. Progress shows who has been reached, who has not answered, and who declined.
- 4Read the replies
Each response carries its transcript and links to the student’s record.
Batches replaced one-off prompts in 2026.08 — before that a prompt went out per student with no cohort view, which made the replies hard to read as a whole.
What comes back
- Per-student transcripts, readable beside the mastery record for each gate.
- Keyword and sentiment aggregation across the batch, so a recurring complaint is visible without reading every reply.
- Call outcomes — answered, no answer, voicemail — for the students you did not reach.
Using it well
Ask one specific question. “Which part of last week’s lesson on differentiation would you want explained again?” produces usable answers; “How is the course going?” produces politeness. And tell students in class that the call is coming — an unexpected automated call gets hung up on.
